We spent a day and night in Henley upon Thames which is such a cool little town, we sat next to the river and ate ice creams, wandered through the farmers markets, had a meal english pub dinner, and watched the rowers practicing for next weeks regatta.
We tried to find a B&B in Oxford but the town was absolutely chocker so we headed south to a little place called Shillington (I think) we stayed in a beautiful hotel in the middle of nowhere, all we knew is we were next to the Thames. The Thames is everywhere.
Because dad didn't get his passport in time we had to cancel our paris trip, instead we hired a car and headed north to Stratford upon Avon, where we visited Anne Hathaways cottage and Shakespeares birthplace.
We took nana and poppa in to the west end to visit all the infamous london sights, this is us in front of one of the trafalgar square lions, nana wouldn't let us climb the lion so we had to stand in front of it!
