The Big London Snow

On Monday 2nd Feb 2009 London had the biggest snowfall it had seen in 20 years.... dad couldn't go to work because the trains, planes and automobiles weren't working, and he wasn't alone 6.4 million people couldn't get to work. We loved every minute of it!!

The night before the big snow.

And the morning after looking out the first floor window

Mum's pots...she had planted her bulbs 2 days earlier...... wonder if they will still flower

The snow stopped for 20 minutes in the morning so we went outside and made a snowman, Zara and I had "Cousin Bear" home from school for the weekend so we took lots of photos with him.

We put our watering cans on the step the day before to see how much snow we would get, we had to dig them out the next morning, they were completely buried!

In the afternoon we went for a walk to King George's Park with BJ & Solfrid. There were people making snowmen everywhere, and everyone was in a really good mood.

Whats a big snowday without a snowfight. Not sure who won because Uncle BJ hit Zara with a whopper of a snowball and it all ended in tears!!

Zara catching a ride on the front of Liam's pram

An abandoned shopping trolley, we had so much fun in it, who would of thought eh!

The long and treacherous walk home to Camborne Road

So great to see people young and old get out and make the most of the snow!

We're making the most of it here in Canada, too. Dom Joly was in Banff recently for a celebrity ski charity event to set the tone.
