Blue Skies

While the south island is getting snow we are enjoying some fabulous weather, blue skies and sunshine.

Liam will not go in the pram now on the school walk, so I try to hold his hand. Fortunately we don't live far away (right next to the school :)

I hold his hand and Zara pushes him in the swing, I think mum is nearly redundant (YEAH RIGHT)

The Big Freeze

Just when we thought the big freeze was over we got one last scattering of snow, this is Zara and her friend Emily walking to school, some of you might recognise this, its Oakhill Road.

Trainspotters... they are few and far between at the moment.

Ice on the tracks..... hmmm who could have thought it would cause SOOOO many problems!
Outside my classroom at Brandlehow School with Issi.
The christmas tree cemetry....... they are scattered all over the streets waiting for the council to come and get them, they do look pretty cool!
A bit of powder fun before school :)
Looking outside my bedroom window to "my school" before all the kids arrived.

Looking out the mum's bedroom window early in the morning.
Fawe Park Road

The nursery playground

Wandsworth park
Mum took us down to wandsworth park last week, one of our friends had a sledge and we managed to get 4 of us on it. At this stage we had only had a little bit of snow but the freezing conditions meant it was very icey so the snow wasn't going anywhere.
Sledging on a flat surface meant the mums had to take turns pulling us!!! Cheaper than a gym membership :)

Liam hasn't made it out of the buggy for the last couple of weeks.
The sun came out briefly last weekend so we got outside to clean up the ice before the next cold blast came through.

Zara is itching to get on my bike, time for an upgrade for me i think... um santa???

A rare shot of the three of us... and we all relatively happy how about that!

This is dads efforts to get a photo of mum and us kids on the slide :-)

Hats on......at wandsworth park

The sun is shining alot at the moment but it sure is starting to cool down, no need for sunblock in this sun its cold ears and cold hands sun. We have dragged out our winter hats, it feels like ages since we had to wear them, and Zara is now wearing the hats I was wearing our last winter in NZ. Still we aren't complaining, its great to be able to get out and still enjoy the park.

This is Zara and I on the bicycle built for six, the park is so much more fun now that Zara does everything with me.

I'm really in to collecting leaves and taking them home to do art with them. There are so many different coloured and shaped leaves at the moment (or as I call them "leaf-es"

This is Zara disappearing off in to the bushes, it is a new hideout we discovered and we can climb trees in there
